Another example for new Commanders or those who have never tried it, the planetary scan mission.  Most of the time when starting these missions you will get a automated message when entering the system that the target cannot be located. Just go to the nav Beacon and after scanning it the location will pop up. Depending on the rank of difficulty of the mission, when approaching the designated planet in the system, it may shift one or two times when you're close to coming out of supercruise. This is why in the video you will see me hesitant to just drop into the planet. I keep an eye on the target as I come in and be ready for it to shift in any direction on the planet.
For this example I chose to stay close, if you want to take the safer route you can land your ship farther away from the target and proceed with the SRV or just dismiss your ship after landing.  Generally though, they will all be this easy, unless it is a public terminal and you will not have to worry about being fired upon. That is why I stay close when landing. why drive farther if you don't have to worry.
