0604.07 Bubble to Colonia

Begin Log:On the 6th I traveled the Neutron Star Highway to Colonia for the Engineers in that area. It is my intention to get some Grade 5 blueprints pinned that are not available back in the bubble. After I am done there in the coming days I will travel to the far side of the Galaxy opposite of the bubble to begin exploring the region. For this trip I have the Odyssey. My Anaconda has no shields and except for the FSD the modules are all D grade and smaller where I can make it so. This has increased my jump range to 79.80. I could have gone lighter still with my distributor but I kept it at a 3D. Also left my fuel tank the same size, even though I do no plan on going into the black, better to have a full tank just in case. Noticed something about my trip as well. By the time I got to the stations midway through, my FSD was around 40-50%, this time I was at 95%
The Highway:
I have not traveled this way since before the Galaxy Map was upgraded to include jetcone boosts when planning a route. I had to find the Neutron Stars one by one before and bookmark them to plan the route. Needless to say it was much easier this time. I was almost halfway there when the stars started to brighten.

The image does not do it justice however. From my point of view the nebula were more in contrast and the stars were brighter. I liked that about the last trip and it is the same for this one. Although since the upgrade to the navigational systems to give more details in star charts available to pilots. Had a lot of "new" stars recorded. I know I did not take the original path I took before. Last time I went for the center of the galaxy and then Colonia before coming back. I still have some of the original bookmarks but planned my route with the 2 stations on the way over. This led to more discoveries and a type of Neutron star I have only encountered once before.
It gave more trouble than the others I supercharged in. every time I tried to go in it was throwing me out right after. The fuel star next to it was also very close. Usually it is a couple thousand light seconds to the next closest star in the system. Almost like this system was made for the highway.
With my longer jump distance this time around, I have found a lot more star systems that have not been visited. Most of them were just groups of stars with no planets but there were still plenty to stop for some scans. There was only one system I stopped in to do the surface scans.
BLUA EAEC NX-K C24-16 had my first Earth-like planet and a High Metal Content world that can be terraformed that I ever found outside the bubble. When I got to Colonia and turned in the data, system was worth just over 9 million. far more than what I thought I would get with a system that only had 13 planets.
Now that I am at Colonia, out of curiosity I checked how much it would be to transport my ships here. Even though it took me half a day to get here, and that was with scanning a few systems, it will take 65 days for ships or modules to be sent. My Corvette, the Balance of Judgement, would cost over 1 Billion to have it sent over. My other ships that are outfitted and engineered will cost 200 to over 400 million each. So I decided to build a new Python here. Named her Mark 2 (FE-VIR), inspired from an old earth tale of the 20th century. Now begins the task of getting what the engineers need to use their facilities and then to continue on with exploring the Galaxy. Depending on the news about the fleet carriers, I will plan to be back just before their available to explore the galaxy for awhile to hopefully discover a unexplored region to put my name on.
