"I knew it would happen."The woman carefully brushes back her white hair. In the faint light of the holoprojection, dark cybernetic implants shimmer through her pale facial skin.
The projection in front of her shows a Federation attack ship with the cryptic designation GAM 01. The ship's specifications run along the edge in an extra field.
This ship, which at first glance appears inconspicuous, is supposedly one of the most efficient combat vessels ever built by the federal military.
Ocampo had heard rumors about it during her time in the Special Operations Forces, but had never seen such a weapon.
"Supposedly this project was never finished. There were supposedly too many problems with the COVAS. But it was all top secret."
She brushes her hair back again.
Determined, Ocampo takes a deep breath and a cold grin flits across her scarred face.
"I'm going to find those ships and get me one of them. Time for a vacation."
Rain Ocampo has been working for the ARRC for a few months now. Her experience and successes in various war zones have earned her a certain reputation.
"Now that this shitty war against the Thargoids seems to be coming to an end, some of our tasks will probably become a little more challenging. I want. No, I need to be prepared."
Fortunately, the commanding officer of the carrier on which Ocampo is stationed doesn't think too highly of the 'Ground pounders'. He is more of a fighter pilot.
This gives the mercenary a chance to disappear for a while...
