Captain's Log: It Begins

Well, I think I'm ready. And we're sure as hell about to find out. I'm in the Nger system, parked at Walker Port just above the planet I was prospecting for mercury. With what I've got, I should have enough to synthesize what I need to get the job done, and... Well, it's time. I'm about to leave my comfort zone.I have a course plotted, nearly 1 kLY, out to the Wregoe YE-Z D9 system. From there, I should be within 1 kLY of HIP 36601 which is ~1500 LY from the bubble and my final destination. I likely won't be keeping a running log, but I'll try to take photos along the way at least.
...To be honest, I'm a bit scared. But if I can't do this much, then I'll never get anywhere. If I'm to explore the deep unknown, then I can't falter now. "Ground Control to Major Tom" is playing as I launch, so this will be my last entry for some time... Perhaps forever.
