Captain's Log: Return to the Bubble

Well, it looks like I'm done with the Pleiades cluster, at least for now.Like I said last time, my sibling was graduating to become a fully-fledged pilot in the near future. I got a call from them yesterday, so I hopped in my hauler, the Reisender, that I've been using as a dropship. Yes, this is the ship I made an insurance claim on. Inter Astra finally got to my insurance agent in Alpha Centauri and got payment for the new ship, so I actually had a decent jump range for the flight back.
I met up with my sibling in Mianomama, at Velasquez Platform after swapping the Hauler for an Adder in the Jawul system. I called it the Reisender II, mostly because they're practically the same ship, and just registered her under the same ID as the original Reisender. Slapped on some missile racks and cranked up the FSD to 11 at Velasquez Platform, since the green hotshot wanted to take their Sidewinder planet side.
Yeah, that went well for them. They took a mission to slaughter some technicians, but they didn't have enough to buy a Dominator suit or a Manticore gun, so they took their TK and a Maverick suit in instead. I pre-cut some panels for them, as well as a few lockers so I could grab what I wanted and get out once the alarm was raised, and crossed my fingers... Well, I got out alright, because I know how to handle myself. I've been a merc before, and I'm a CMDR now. But, my sibling got themselves arrested and fined, and their Sidewinder was impounded.
Yeah, that didn't make them happy. They were complaining up and down about just about everything. I mean, I warned them that they weren't equipped for the sort of mission, but they charged in anyway. You're a CMDR now, so you're going to have to make your own decisions; ain't nobody, not even me, going to stop you. I think my sibling learned that yesterday, because last night they said they might try and become a freight pilot instead. I can definitely approve of that path, and I've had my Clipper flown to Love Orbital so I'll probably kit her for hauling and help jumpstart my sibling.
I certainly do want to get back into Imperial Territory, so I can continue working towards getting the proper licencing to purchase the Cutter, but for now I think we're based out of Love Orbital. Independent territory is certainly nice, though: It feels like home.
