A New Start Part 2 Electric Boogaloo: Twenty-Second Entry

This one should be a bit more permanent. In all actuality, I'm please with the progress this new Squadron has been making. I mean yeah, I pushed them in a couple of directions and probably did most of the work, but there's still things I couldn't do on my own.
After finding a suitable system to settle safely, there was one faction that... didn't take kindly to our presence, to put lightly, and it was quickly decided that they should go. Due to the name of their home station, Eimilian, our Squadron Leader, called them Religious Zealots, even though they were more of a Confederacy than a Theocracy. Speaking of, seems a lot of the squad's adopted names similar to how the fictional Avali would have named themselves. Wonder if they know about what ARC does? I'm digressing again; It took a few extra days after this Confederacy was removed, but we finally have our own place in System Politics, with our own representatives. I haven't met them all yet, will update this entry when I get the name of the head honcho of the civilian branch. What we accomplished here took less than a month, more than... I actually don't know how much faster in comparison, but they've been at Avalon for a little less than a year total, with nothing to show for it.
The bugs in these new suits are getting squashed, slowly but surely, but there's still plenty of reports of people having less than promised performance. A couple of crafty commanders make an easy after-market modification that significantly boosted theirs to much more usable levels, and shared how to do it with the rest of the galaxy on public forums. My custom-fitted Maverick Suit finally arrived, so I made that mod before I put it on, and actually it's quite... something. Not quite what I was expecting, but it's gonna replace my old flight suit. I've since donated my old flight suit to Remlock, to help ease repair and production with my Maverick. The tools that come with these suits are quite handy for a whole slew of new operations, even this fancy little plasma cutter. Needs more field testing, but I like it so far, 8/10
That's about all I have the energy to write for. One of the local fire alarms on my carrier woke me up after I was in a pretty deep snooze. Was a false alarm, apparently those little shits still run on batteries, and this one's was just about dead. I'll order that all fixed later.
