When we finally gained a presence in Dalagritu, a couple of the other groups weren't as enthusiastic. The communistic Unionists say we've been little less than a boon to the entire system, but the iron fist of the New Front disagreed. Our representative, Rolando Hyde, actually made a bet with Colonel Moses Farrel, with a live fire training scenario: If Wayfarers win, we get one of their bases, but if New Front wins we leave. Mostly mercenaries vs mercenaries, but with a select few representatives for both sides. I dunno who Moses picked, but obviously my squadron was Rolando's, and the main goal was to try and keep losses on both ends as low as possible. Obviously we won, practically a steam roll, but surprisingly the worst injury was a broken wrist, no fatalities on either side. Moses backed off with a smile and happily handed over Carver Horizons, but not before demanding a rematch.Secretary Alfred Richmond of the Unionists was impressed that we could handle ourselves in a (mock) fight, and made a similar bet with Rolando: If we can win over the people, he'll give us control of the entire system. That was only a couple of days ago, though already we're a popular topic among the public. Enough so that we're actually prepping polling on who should gain control: Should it remain with Alfred and the Unionists, or should they step down and allow Rolando Hyde and the Avalonian Wayfarers to run things? Seems most are predicting another land-slide victory.
Personal News: Triple Elite, at long last. I'm not the first and I certainly won't be the last, but good god it took a while and I was working towards it plenty, too. The PF rep who congratulated me (and granted me access to the fancy decal) was a bit surprised at my appearance. I can finally replace the Utopia symbol stickers for my main go-to look, though I may still check them out later; what Pranav stands for is more interesting than others I've seen and heard about.
My previous SLF Pilot, Mari, left on her own terms, something about returning to Imperial Space. Hired on a fresh fledgling, Clover Pierce. She's very much a novice when it comes to flying anything, but I've worked with worse, will make an ace out of her yet.
Every time I run out of things to talk about I get into run-ons like this. After this election I might take me another break for a couple weeks. Will still be an advisor, I'm the only one that has Triple Elite in my squadron so far. Haui's not too far off, though.
