Years ago CMDR PathOwOgen was a tad bit of a mad scientist, after learning about the past, specifically the early 21st century, he studied the internet of the time, a vast collection of strange communities jostled together between different URLs and lines of HTML, even though all these humans lived on one special atmospheric rock, they still was very different in all walks of life, in his months and months of learning about these long gone people this CMDR stumbled onto more niche sites, he was used to observing oddities of the past, and many things that might not be able to go onto a log without it being automatically pulled. However he stumbled onto a certain community of people across early 21st century earth, Widely known as "furries". The more he looked at these people the more interested he became. Even though there was many who disliked them, to the point of "raids" on their community organized by other URL's like reddit and 4chan? Even to the point of a long lost member of 'reddit' calling the suicide of a member of that community a: "Small win for reddit". And what did the people do in responce? Dismiss it. It was interesting to see a community on such a volatile construct such as th 21st century internet to keep reclusive and not 100% care about the image of themselves on other locations, perhaps even thriving as they cheered for each others small boons, and wholeheartedly supported each other for their small downfalls. It was enlightening. The basic idea of this community was that they loved animals that had human features, even creatures that other people treated as fictional monsters this community dug its claws into with a firm grasp and enveloped it into it's own fold. Plenty of people even making expensive suits, disliked most greatly by some other groups on the internet, as figures of themselves as their own idea of a anthropomorphic animal. The more and more he read into the past, the more and more he felt connected, yet saddened. All of these people wishing for a way to become the way they wish to be, not caring for other hostile peoples opinions, only wishing to, as they saw, better themselves in the fashion they felt would make them happy. Yet their wish never came true. At this point of research the CMDR himself related to the beliefs, and saw the phrase 'PathOwOgen' in a old long forgotten fourm post that comprised of these people dreaming of the future wanting something to turn themselves into their -better' formAnd so, newly dubbed CMDR PathOwOgen got to work
