Log - To Star One #2 - Quick stop in the DSSA Iverness
16 Jan 2021Eeka
It's been some time since i wrote a log. I've already crossed The Temple and i'm almost reaching Iverness, just a few jumps. I'm currently making use of the waiting time in a 330kls trip to write this.These two regions have a forgotten, obscure, unexplored feel surrounding it. I've first discovered many Neutron systems, some with more than one star, just next to my original route. Nothing very interesting happens here.
Removing some star classes from my route plotting actually reduced the 42 jump trip to 37. It is weird, i did not expect that. It might have helped the plotting computer to find some extra neutron stars.
I'm using these last jumps to gather some money from terraformable and other valuable celestial bodies. The weekly upkeep of my fleet carrier made me think twice about how rich i really am.
Iverness is the half way checkpoint into Star One, which will be the half of the journey.
Nothing but stars, jumps and more jumps. I made my first landing and normal flight after many thousand light years and it's actually pretty:
Huge background
But it seems that all this time traveling above light speed is causing some collateral effects. Almost the entirety of today felt like a big dejavu.
===================
I'm very tired when Iverness's planetary nebula is finaly visible. The sight is incredible but i have no more energy to admire it today:
Lovely gaze of DSSA Iverness
Thanks for checking in.
