Lost in the Abyss

"if you stare into the abyss the abyss stares back at you" I had never understood this sentence until now.
Navigating the Abyss is without a doubt the hardest mental task I have ever done.
Naive as I was, I thought I could cross from the Formorian Frontier to Beagle Point in a straight line without making any detours .....
So far I have not been able to find a road to cross the void between the two galactic arms.
I am following the southern edge of the region towards Acheron to try to cross where the stellar density is more important.
Maybe I could go back up the arm to BP ....
