Planning the news

A day in the life of an up and coming reporter."As I sit at my desk preparing for the following days work, I ponder about everything going on in the galaxy. It would be nice to report a complete days worth of good news. I've got logs and reports from all my staff cluttering my work space. Even in 3306 people still use an insane amount of paper. Why can't my reporters use computer logs like everyone else? I did however manage to get them colored paper. Each one has a different color so that way I can easily compile them on my desk.
Wednesdays tend to be a very hectic day as I need to organize all the reports and stories into a news session. I'm happy to have an excellent group of reporters to gather all this information about the comings and goings of the Milky Way. Wednesday mornings are spent gathering my information on Colonia Affairs. I've spent years in Colonia. It will always be my home, so it's just right that I invest a lot of time into it. Not many people around the Milky Way are interested in, let alone know about, Colonia. After I get all those notes and gatherings together, I move on to the inner workings of the Core Systems. This usually takes about an hour or two. The Thargoid Report follows that and we're into the late afternoon - early evening. The evening is done finalizing the extra reports, like the Jameson report, the Pilot's Federation task forces and interviews.
I barely get to do anything on Wednesdays. Dinner is usually take out. A pizza is the go to option covered in extra cheese. After I finish all my work and the newscast is complete, I sprawl out on my couch knowing the job is well done and up to my standards. Getting all this done in one day allows me to sleep good that night knowing I won't have to worry about any last minute corrections. Aside from breaking news, Thursday mornings the news is good to go. So now you know how I plan the news. It's been a pleasure to bore you with this.
