Vox Galactica: Star date 20 May 3306

20 May 2020CJ_Pryde

Welcome to this week's installment of Vox Galactica. We have a lot of stories to cover, so let's jump right into the action!

This is MsValkyrie reporting to you from Kamadhenu in Imperial space. Many Imperial systems are in the recovery phase after the attacks on several stations from the cyber terrorists, Los Extranjeros. The Prismatic Imperium, Eotienses Citizens' Forum, The Sovereign Justice Collective and Chapterhouse of Inquisition are reporting civil liberty, boom and investment in unaffected systems. Emperor Lavigny-Duval has requested aide from independent pilots to help deliver supplies to affected system starports. She however can't guarantee their safety as system authorities are stretched thin. She warned tourists, travel agencies and traders to stay clear of systems that have suffered an attack.

This is QuantumBlade reporting to you from Daedalus in SOL. President Hudson has vowed retaliation towards LosExtranjeros for their attacks on Federal stations and innocent civilians. Both he and Shadow President Winters have reached out to private military firms to dispatch these terrorists as they coordinate Federal system authorities to help protect their citizens. As the Imperial Emperor warned travelers, traders and tourists, so did President Hudson. He went on to say that the safety of Federal civilians and personnel are of utmost priority. Infrastructure and stations can be rebuilt and replaced, his people can not be!
Nanomam Ltd and East Galaxy Cooperative have both reported booming economies around their controlled systems.

Prime Minister Mahon has asked that Alliance controlled systems increase security patrols around high tech and industrial starports. The Alliance is the only superpower that has not felt the attack of the cyber terrorists. The Alliance Office of Statistics in Gateway has issued a warning that all travelers be vigilant. The Alliance is still welcoming a booming economy and the influx of traders could be easy prey if the terrorists aim for Alliance systems.

Greetings from Jaques Station in Colonia. This is CJ Pryde coming to you with all the news from our little nebula.
Things are looking brighter in for Jaques in Colonia. For the second week in a row, the economy is looking brighter. They are experiencing civil liberty and a booming trade market. The Free People of Colonia are praising Jaques leadership for FINALLY putting the welfare of their citizens above all else. On the flipside of that, they still shun Jaques for how long it took them to resolve the situation.
The Colonia Council are experiencing states of wealthy economy due to Jaques' economies booming. Investment is up and tourism is at a new high.
The Holloway Bioscience Centre is still reeling from the huge setback of losing their Thargoid samples. The scientists are going to dispatch researchers to study them in the Witch Head Nebula. Holloway has been warned by The Agency that they will be monitoring their motives to prevent the smuggling of samples back to Colonia.

Reporting to you from Obsidian Orbital, is VolkerX. Another week of no incursions reigns throughout the Nebulae. This however is not a time of peace down here. A large group of independent pilots have begun to take a stand against the Thargoids. One Cmdr has set out on a mission of revenge. Revenge for the murder of her little girl Rebecca and her friends. They say Thargoids are not friendly. They do not want peace. And for this, they should all be eradicated. Many other commanders have followed her initiative and taken to this war against the 'goids. This however is not without its protest. Many civilians living within the Nebulae have voice against waging war against the bugs. All this pent up aggression could bring the Thargoids back with larger numbers and drown the systems in infestation. This aggressive act has forced some residents to leave the Nebulae and take up residence in the Core Systems. We will continue to monitor this situation and bring you up to date as it unfolds.

Bringing you all the news in and around the Core Systems is MiaGoth.
As reported earlier in the week, Jameson Memorial suffered a brutal network failure brought upon by the cyber terrorists, Los Extranjeros. Many modules were reported stolen and people were either taken or killed. Since the attack, the Pilot's Federation have increased their security and upgraded their network interfaces. They hired outside contractors to work on the safety of the system networks to prevent any further system breaches.
As mysteriously as they started, the attacks from the terrorists have ceased. This however has not stopped the Federation or the Empire from enlisting the help from mercenaries and bounty hunters to wipe out Los Extranjeros.
In other news, several pilots have witnessed ships mysteriously "vanishing" during combat. This has intrigued our staff so much that we decided to dig deeper into this phenomenon. Our reporter QuantumBlade looked into this personally.
I took to the streets to find out some information and what I found astonished even me! Found only within the dark markets is a module which renders a vessel invisible. It allows it to "cloak" itself. Upon activation, the ship completely vanishes from view and all scanners. No wake of any kind is left to be scanned. Many pilots are calling it a "clog" module. What that means to this reporter, I couldn't tell you. The most expensive of black markets are known to sell it and only few pilots can afford this highly illegal and frowned upon module.

That does it for this week's installment of Vox Galactica.
