26 Aug 2020CJ_Pryde

Welcome to this week's installment of Vox Galactica. Cmdr VolkerX returns to bring to light to massive Thargoid news. The Colonia Connection Highway suffers from an inmate uprising at a penal colony. Senator Patreus issues a stern warning to would-be terrorists.

This is VolkerX reporting to you from Arc's Faith in HR 1183.
Thargoid attacks have escalated in recent days in the Pleiades. Asterope, Merope, Celaeno have all seen a rise in Thargoid attacks. Most recently in HR 1183, the investigation led by Admiral Lindhom of Nova Imperium, has revealed Aegis agents seen boarding the vessel hours before the tour departed. They were never seen leaving the ship nor were their names listed on the manifest. The black box recovered was found to be tampered with. It was a black box from a decommissioned cruise ship altered for this particular ship. Representatives from Aegis Research could not be reached to confirm or deny these allegations.
Admiral of the Fleet, Senator Denton Patreus has issued a warning to the terrorists sabotaging Imperial vessels:
"The Empire will not stand idly by as you attempt to destroy us. We will know who you are and we WILL find you. There will be no trial, no courts...you are guilty! And as such, you will be given the same treatment as you showed to the hundreds of Imperial citizens killed in the attacks! Mark my words!!

BREAKING!
We have just learned that a convoy of Imperial Cutters transporting supplies to Merope Expeditionary Fleet in Maia has been attacked by Thargoids.

A Thargoid Cyclops interceptor was seen opening a wormhole and exiting out of the system as system authorities arrived at the scene. We have very little details as of this moment. What we do know is that the convoy originated from Facece and was delivering supplies to Maia. This is all we know at this time.

In HR 1183 as well as Asterope, numerous sightings of Thargoid probes and sensors have been found. This has put the citizens of the Pleiades on a heightened alert as these sightings usually indicate an impending Thargoid incursion. It has been sometime since the last Thargoid incursion, but the rise in xeno attacks points to something looming in the beyond.

This is CJ Pryde bringing you this week's Colonia Affairs Report.
Deep within the Eagle Sector lies a prison colony called Eagle Sector Secure Facility that has erupted into a civil war between the Eagle Sector guards and the Eagle Sector inmates. The station was taken over by the inmates some time ago and the guards most recently staged a revolution to retake the rock. This war still ravages on with the ES inmates holding their ground and pushing the guards out. Little is known of the origins behind this feud. A correspondent is en route to Eagle Sector to bring us all the information of the battle.
Jaques and the Colonia Council are reporting famine and blight across Luchtaine brought on by a series of damaging storms that ravaged several settlements. Jaques has requested supplies from Sentinel Security be brought in to combat the famine and blight. SentCom has ordered several convoys of T9's be filled to brim with supplies and resources.
The Colonia Council is investing in many of their current systems to fix failing infrastructure and attract more possible permanent residents to the Nebula. In order to do so, it has decided to withdraw from a third system, Edge Fraternity Landing. The past elections swayed more in favor of Council Mark Townsend whose ideals show for a more promising infrastructure in EFL. The Council seeing Councillor Townsend's plan was legit, decided to concede and withdraw in hope's that Townsend's planned promises bring about a brighter future for EFL. Sanzio Silo+++ has been temporarily shut down to make way for renovations into a planetary settlement as per Townsend's proposed plans.
There have been no need cases of the Cent-01 virus since mass vaccinations were instituted last week. Star ports have since lifted all lock downs and quarantines.

This is MiaGoth reporting to you from Jameson Memorial.
Since the arrival of Sentinel Security, pirate attacks have decreased in Shinrarta Dezhra and Deciat. The Pilot's Federation Branch have lowered both systems to a MEDIUM travel warning. Caution is still to be exercised whilst traveling through the systems, but the presence of more trained security is putting a lot of traders at ease. A petition has been sent around demanding Felicity Farseer either relocate her shop to the Pleiades or cease the demand for Meta-alloys. Thargoids have attacked several megaships within Deciat due to the transport of Thargoid tech. Ms Farseer has yet to comment on the situation.

That concludes this week's Vox Galactica. Fly safe o7!
