Paresa News Network: Star Date 15 Oct 3306

15 Oct 2020CJ_Pryde

Greetings Milky Way. This is CJ Pryde and Vittoria Lugosi bringing you this week's episode of Paresa News Network. A lot has been going on in Empire controlled space this week, so let's get down to business.

An Imperial blockade of Ackwada was a success. An NMLA faction has been taken into custody for questioning concerning the terrorist bombings of four Imperial stations several weeks ago. A spokeswoman for the Imperial Internal Security Service had this to say;

“We have taken many Marlinist criminals into custody, despite their efforts to shield the terrorists. Some may have temporarily evaded us, but we are confident that we can track and destroy the NMLA cells operating within this system.”

The Duduseklis Empire League broadcast this message to its supporters:

“Thousands of political refugees attempted to flee from persecution onboard megaships. Unfortunately, the Imperial blockade was supported by too many independent pilots, and none were able to escape.”

“Despite being unable to help our Marlinist supporters, we are still able to offer rewards at Rush's Camp for the brave few who dared to dream of democracy.”

Imperial scout ships have been deployed to scour the system for smaller vessels that evaded Imperial authorities. Neither Fleet Admiral Denton Patreus nor Emperor Arissa Lavigny-Duval has issued statements regarding their victory in Ackwada.

(VL): That some intense action there, CJ. However, I have some terrible news emanating from the Witch Head Enclave.

                                            *Pilots Federation ALERT*

Thargoid vessels detected in Alliance-controlled systems within the Witch Head Nebula.

The Thargoids have reappeared in the Witch Head Nebula, and are swarming in large numbers through the Onoros, Lembass, Haki, Wellington, and Shenve systems. Alliance Prime Minister Edmund Mahon has requested help from all willing independent pilots. Alliance warships and Aegis have been unable to prepare for this attack and have been taken completely by surprise.
Imperial citizens have begun to make their voices known that Aegis should not be funded with Imperial currency. Known anti-Aegis faction, Nova Imperium, has refused to send their Navy to the Witch Head. A statement from Fleet Admiral and Nova Navy Operations Officer, Yumasai, had this to say about the situation;

"If Aegis cannot respond in time, this is what happens. You really sure you can entrust your safety to Aegis?"

Citizens of the WHE have been dreading this day for a long time. They warned the controlling factions that the Thargoids would not take kindly to humans invading their territory. Sentinel Security CEO Elizabeth Rogers has deployed a fleet of AX warships to defend the citizens as they flee the systems facing Thargoid incursions. Stahl-Bruthanavan CEOs Johanna Stahl and Talisa Bruthanavan have ordered AX checkpoints along the Colonia Connection Highway, as a precaution, to prevent any Thargoids from advancing towards the Colonia Nebula.

Our reporter Lexi Volker is on her way to the Witch Head for an upcoming live report. According to our traffic correspondent, Jason Stanton, has reported that the Pilot's Federation has issued EXTREME travel advisories for all systems in the Witch Head Enclave. If you are not outfitted for AX combat and not fighting against the Thargoid threat, you are warned to stay OUT of the WHE.

(VL): That will about wrap it up. For CJ Pryde and the rest of the PNN staff, signing off!
