Incident report 10/17/3307

Location : Dyson City , Paresa Time elapsed since incident : ~4 hours.
Ship : Spirit of War [MK4] (Alliance Chieftain)

After spending a couple of days patrolling and participating in the evacuation of Dyson City , it finally happened. As I was patrolling outside of the station , I noticed a blip fall off my radar. In the brief moment I saw it , indications pointed to deployed hardpoints. Had the blip been inside the station I would probably have thought nothing of it. This one however was well outside the station.... as I turned to face where the blip was , I noticed an Imperial clipper leaving the inferno. It was suddenly attacked , missiles were fired by what appeared to be a black and red Krait MKII. Thankfully a bulk of these were destroyed by the stations battered defense systems. I gave chase , and deployed hardpoints , waiting for the Chieftain to give me the signal she was ready to fight. The whole thing was playing in my head as the clipper made a break for it , the Krait followed as did I. Before long we left the no fire zone , and I took the shots , the plasma rounds finding their mark and distorting his targeting forcing him to lose the clipper. I kept up my assault , only the NMLA would pull such a daring stunt in front of the station railgun shot after railgun shot , I watched his hull tumble he made an attempt to retaliate and must have realized his ship was not much of a fight for the old Spirit , because he started to flee afterwards.
The Clipper had gotten out , and for me that was good enough. If this guy in the Krait wasn't NMLA , he was still a criminal , he got away in the end with a hefty repair bill. Hopefully he will re-consider his career path. Probably not though , time to head back the the rescue ship and restock.
