I Almost Can't Believe It - 05/09/3303

Well I finally did it.  I FINALLY trekked my way to the core...Sagittarius A*.  It was a bit more gratifying than I anticipated, to be honest.  I kept putting it off thinking it would be little more than a chore and a check off the list.  I sure was wrong.  I mean I'm not jumping for joy or anything, but now that I've arrived I feel quite accomplished.  I didn't think to start a log from the beginning, but I feel there wouldn't be much to write anyway.  What, with the hasty and uneventful trip that it was.  We stopped to tag a few bodies, as well as gaze in awe at a few more.

It was a bit of an impulsive decision.  I had been wanting to come here and have been making longer and longer trips, but before this week the farthest I had ever traveled from home was about 8,000 light years.  I was passing by the lounges just outside the transit center (I think I was tempting myself for a reason to go) where I met a pleasant lady.  A scientist.  Seemed really eager to make it out this way.  Said she was looking for a ship to take her to the Black in Green tourist spot.  So I decided I'd be the one to take her and her colleagues.

It's been quite a pleasant trip, actually.  No major issues.  The guests have been more than tolerable.  They seem too polite to complain about the couple of bumps we've taken even though they asked beforehand to keep things smooth.  They seem more focused on getting to the spot.  I kinda like these kind of passengers.  Just keep to themselves and don't ask for much...or anything.  In a way, they've done me a favor.  They're paying for the "expedition" as they call it, but I'd just as soon turn them down now that I've seen the places we've been.

Black in Green turned out to be one of the most beautiful spots I've been to.  I figured we'd come this far, why not push on to Sag A*?  I think we're all glad we did.  Simply awesome.  We're parking here for a day or two.  Give the paint a bit of a break.  After that we head for Colonia, then bend back to home. The scientists don't need to be back for another two and a half weeks, so no big rush.  I know I'll be happy to be home though.

Next stop...Colonia
