32nd Logbook Entry - Settlement Assaults and Defense

Beginning audio logbook speech to text recognition."I've completed my goal of reaching rank 5 "The Trader" while moving tens of thousands of tons of biowaste. I'm very proud of myself for that dirty little plan. I know I said I'd do something relaxing like mining afterwards, but I just couldn't keep boots off the ground after rebooting so many powered down settlements. This time, though, I'm not just fighting petty bandits... I'm fighting in full fledged wars and civil wars.
Many of the settlements are in powered down states, but that's a mission for another time. Before I can even think about powering them back up again I'll need to help a faction solidify control of the area or else the settlement infrastructure will just be destroyed again. I'm jumping around different systems in the "war" or "civil war" states as defined by my ship's onboard computer. There are plenty of systems' occupant factions that need a mercenary's help and I'm more than happy to provide it for them... for a price. I've made billions from high intensity on foot conflict zones during my Elite V Mercenary rank climb. It's good and fast money, so I'll keep this up for a few days at least before I end up doing something else. I haven't been doing these logbooks for a few days because I've been sleeping in some of the buildings on the ground in settlements I've been defending. No idea whose bed it was, but it was comfy. At any rate, I'm finally back in my ship for a good night's rest. Boots back on the ground tomorrow so I'm going to bed. Gotta stay sharp.
