Beginning audio logbook speech to text recognition."It was a rough 20 days crossing the galaxy more times than I can count. 80,000 LY per day... but done now. I turned the data in outside of The Bubble which means I now need to fly back to continue with my medal progression. I was supposed to be done with all the medals at tier 5 with turning in the final bits of exploration data from this trip, but I miscalculated. I have another few days of FSSing some planetary bodies before I wrap up.
I was really excited to get back into AX combat. I want to help defend humanity, not scan planets right now. I suppose another few days won't mean the doom of the entire galaxy, though. I'm on hour 4 of turning in data. I think it'll take another hour and a half to hand in the rest. I knew it was going to take a long time, but I had no idea it would take nearly 6 hours. The universal cartographics contact's name is Darwin Levine and he's been a champ. I need to buy the guy a few dozen drink vouchers at the bar for sticking with me for so long. It is my named station so I may have some the ability to pull that off.
There's no rest for me. The second this data is all turned in I'm firing up engines and heading back to The Bubble. It's going to be strange being back in populated space. I wonder how my old crew member, Hilario, is doing out there. Maybe he's worked up the courage to fight the Thargoids. Or maybe he's out in the black somewhere trying to hide.... who knows, maybe we missed each other by just a few systems deep in the void. Maybe we'll see each other out on an AX battlefield in the near future. No way to know. Alright, back to turning in all this damned data. All 389 pages worth.
Commander VladmirMcDoogle signing out."
