Beginning audio logbook speech to text recognition."I can't believe I'm saying this, but apparently there are people who are rooting for the Thargoids to destroy The Bubble. Yep, you heard me correctly: they want humanity destroyed. People are hearing about this impending and foretold apocalypse by these Thargoid Cultists and are losing hope.... and hope is something that we desperately need right now.
For that reason, I've been using my ship's onboard cameras and a video drone limpet to record some digital footage in the hopes that I can put together some type of call to arms in the form of an action movie trailer. It seems kind of lame to think that sort of thing might resonate with people, but if the Far-God Cult can push propoganda, then I can try my best to make an uplifting video that shows mankind taking a stand and defending The Bubble.
I'm recording this message as I'm flying towards "Stargoid" number 4. I've been flying for 7 hours now in supercruise and still have another 8 before I encounter the damn thing. I want the footage of a close fly-by, but as we approach each other the fun of recording the footage grows more and more dim. Every second and light year closer to the rogue signal source the deeper it sets in that I'm powerless alone to stop it - and that I may well be filming the thing that will cause billions of deaths in the coming weeks.
I hope the video does some good... even if it reaches and inspires just a dozen commanders to stand with humanity then I've done my job. We can't fight the Thargoids fractured as we are now. We have to stand and fight as one. Fight As One... that's not a bad video title... I've got more brainstorming to do.
