Gravity

Whilst on my journey for an invitation to the Qwent research base, I discovered a planet with a considerably high gravitational pull. The system is BD+47 2936, with the second planet being the one in discussion. At 5.22g, the descent to the surface had to be a slow and careful one, as even though the Dusk's thrusters have been strengthened, the high gravity can easily overcome the retro and dorsal vector drives. After a tediously slow vertical descent, I managed to land the Dusk without damage. The tedious venture I find myself in is the road to meeting Marco Qwent, since I require his network to make contact with Professor Palin to further improve both the Dusk and the Dawn's propulsion systems. It seems that Qwent is being hesitant from revealing himself, as it's been days since I became allied with the Sirius Corporation, a power that he reveres so greatly. At least once I'm on a friendly basis with him, I can further expand my engineer network to make future ship upgrades a less time-consuming task.
Something about the Sirius Corporation troubles me though. Despite the elation felt by citizens under the rule of Sirius Corp, I don't think mixing a for-profit organisation and government is a good idea, particularly when democracy comes to be questioned for the sake of maintaining the bottom line.
