Captain Pendragon of the PBSF, log 1.5After a long journey of just over 440 light years, I have made it home safely back in Neto. In fact without pause as I ordered a quick turnaround of ships in order to assist the troops on the front line of Operation Janus.
After the last documentation of the T-1 crash site, and flight preparations for Suzy, I left the Pleiades sector planet at sunrise. I travelled back along the bearing the T-1 would have come from, but no further signs of debris were present. Satisfied, I booted up the FSD and started the 28 jumps it takes to get back home.
After a brief meeting to debrief the FCLD upon my return, while the ground crew were fixing up Suzy, I found it pertinent to purchase another craft to assist with the haulage operations. the Karaboudjan would normally be my cargo ship of choice, of course, however with Wolf only containing outposts I needed something which would be up to the job.
It was soon apparent that the Jane, Suzy, and Fulcrum were too small to fit any decent amount of cargo, I have turned my eyes to the Lakon Asp Explorer. It's not the cheapest, however after sinking around 25 million into the ship (preliminary designation Light Fantastic) it's able to hold around 110 tonnes of cargo, as well as having a jump range of around 2 light years.
Luckily the Ising shipyard had one ready to fly so after the wait to get it all pieced together and to our specifications, I'm happy to say her maiden voyage was a success, and we've not only run a number of well paid missions from Wolf and LHS tonight, but also given a helping hand to the trade team, as the larger clippers and such offloaded H.E. Suits which we could drop off at the smaller docks.
She's not the greatest in combat, and with relatively low shields to make way for cargo while interdicted twice along out trade routes was survived (with a nice bonus of a few hundred thousand in bounties) it was not what I would call pleasant.
I'm docked now in Seddon Dock for the night. I've taken the time to speak with the citizens of the station and have been showered with small gifts, trinkets, drinks and the like from almost every citizen. It's clear that our liberation attempts for the system are doing real good in these communities. There is hope here once again, and I am assured that if it came down to it, the citizenry would well support the PBSF in our democratisation of this starport and system.
Anyway, it is late, and the blue green of Vivally lulls me gently to sleep. I will be bedding down here before returning to Neto tomorrow, possibly. I will touch base with the Admiral int he morning and see where he needs me. I go, as ever, where needed. For the good of the PBSF, the good of the citizens of all PBSF systems.
Captain Pendragon. Captain's quarters, Seddon Dock. out.
