CMDR Log 1 Mission: Journey to Sagittarius A*

I have been outside of the human bubble for a little over a week now. The beauty is unsurpassed but so is the emptiness. Space. Is. Big. It is easy to forget that I am going faster than the speed of light when I'm going through a system scanning for Earth-like and Tera-formable worlds. That the planet I just cruised by that looked the size of a basketball had more mass than Jupiter and was nearly the size of the star it was orbiting.

So far I have had little luck finding habitable planets that humanity could one day live upon. I did not expect to find hundreds of planets but the lack of finding any is disturbing. It scares me that humanity is confined to such a small bubble of the galaxy.
Most people consider the Thargoids as legend now. Most are not afraid. With the discovery of Unknown Artefacts I am more inclined to believe that the stories are true. I have also heard rumors of something amiss in the Formidine Rift. Is that also evidence pointing to Thargoids? That is not my mission...yet...

I must continue forward. Onward to the core. I must know the answers that I have not asked the questions for. I must listen for the silent meow that has not been hissed.

I will persevere, the space madness will not consume me.
