Aiding the Alliance and a SRV Race!

23 April 3302I have decided to buy a new ship model "Imperial Clipper" who I named "Affinity", it has a nice ring to it. While reading the Galnet I notice the Alliance was requesting help to independent Commander out there to help them build an outpost outside of the bubble. I'm proudly able to say that I helped to that cause, even tho I encounter some pirate activity I manage to survived. After a week or hard work and trading I decided to do something different. I heard about a SRV race going at over a the system Turbo, so I decided to participated.

After an hour waiting for the other participant the race started, it was 55km long and you will say piece of cake, but in a SRV it way longer.
The race was being broadcasted too.
And so the race started and I found myself being last but as time passed I was finding more and more CMDR dead along the road.
After 30 minutes I found myself being lost, but I continue anyway. I manage to find somebody 7km ahead of me so I tried to catch up to him, but as I got close he felled down a cliff and so I did. The cliff was 27km deep. I manage to survived it but the other CMDR didn't, as I watch my comms panel nervously since I couldn't see 3 meters ahead of me because of the darkness, a viper flew on top of me, I rapidly sended him a message and he helped me get out of that pit of death and after that I continued the race. And after another 30 minutes has pass I was almost at the finish line, with 34% haul and less than 10% of fuel, I figured I was the last one, I called it since the beginning but I was doing it just for fun. But in my surprised I wasn't the last, I finish second place! out of 12 CMDR's that participated only 2 survived the race and I was one of them!
The activity ended on celebration and fireworks everywhere, and I went home proud of surviving that race and getting second place.
It was truly and achievement...a good day indeed.
