Towards NGC 3199

Bleia Eoq, Greae Eoq... who the hell names these sectors, anyway?

I've left the Eta Carina Nebula, on the way to the NGC 3199 Nebula. There's a fleet carrier parked there, so I know I'll be able to sell the exploration data I've got on board - with a not-insignificant tariff. Oh well. If it gets me the Elite rating I'm chasing, I'll be happy.

The Galnet news channel has come alive since I left the Bubble... 3 weeks ago? I feel like I'm barely over halfway there. I wonder if I'll get home by Christmas? I also wonder if Edmund Mahon is really thinking about inviting all those Marlinist refugees to Alliance space? As someone born and raised in Alliance space, I've got no love for the Empire, but how wise is it to openly welcome a group the Empire considers terrorists? Heck, I think the Marlinists are probably right about a lot of things, but why risk war with the Empire when they're looking for a fight? Makes no sense to me.

At least the independent pilots are willing to unite together against the Thargoids. I know I would have been useless in that battle - my Mostly Harmless rating means most pirates don't even take me seriously yet.

I'm happy to be out in the black. It's fun discovering new systems and planets. Still, a nice tall beer at the Galactic Bar would be all right. That place could be a good haunt. I hope nothing weird or shady has happened there while I've been on this journey...

On to Greae Eoq!
