I heard rumors about the rings. They have been going on and on about how the pulse waves on planet one were showing that we were at the end on an era for SubSurfaceDeposit Diamond Mining. The new gear had made it tremendously profitable, but we had to take into acount that the rings would "gradually" deplete.Gradually ? well it seems it was most brutal and those having no trouble finding rich SSD asteroids seem to have to spend so much more time finding them.
The whole economy in the system was based on diamonds and exploiting these high yield asteroids. It seems that the party is over, but the rings are big and I am quite sure the lasers will soon be back on, and miners will be back on mining. Diamonds remain very valuable and even when the market will slow because we have flooded it, it will recover at some point in the future.
Yesterday I sold all my cargo. 21K tons of LTDs, would you believe it ? Prices were so high... I didn't move them myself, I shared a good bit of profit and let the others do it. Credits have to move anyways.
It probably si time to do something new.... But what will I do ?
I got ideas, projects... My own bank, I call it the Diamond Bank. My own races, my own CvC unengineered championship... but for what purpose.
And there are the Pirates, the scum that will destroy defenseless ships for "sport", they don't deserve to fly. Maybe I will hunt them don't, with credits, and with a prototyped ship, but I still have a lot to do to have that ship done, not mentionning the skills I don't yet have in combat.
