Busy few days. Busy few days, indeed! After doing my part in the Witch Head Nebula defense for a couple days, supplies began to run low. Low enough that I had to return home to the bubble. The general materials were easy enough to keep in stock, but relics of Guardian nature are far harder to get a hold of. That said, the blood of the enemy got me to my goal. She's mine.
The Fractured Abyss is operational, and in stationkeeping around V374 Pegasi A 1 as we speak. Tritium loading is in progress, and finances are in order. Nearly a year of pre-paid operation is secured. Having her means my fleet will always be at my beck and call anywhere in the galaxy and, even, makes the Guardian sites far more obtainable for my fellows in my squadron. Already several have adopted her as their new home.
While stockpiling is taking place, I am considering options. Along with her, I made the decision to dedicate the Velvet Hammer to anti-xeno action. However, I've become so accustomed to how she responds I just had to get a second Alliance Chieftain. So I did; the Iron Piston. When not doing general duty around the Bubble, and when actively hunting human make vessels for contracts, she will be my go to hunter killer. While I had what I needed on hand to fully outfit her on the carrier, she does still need to make the trip to a few engineers. A few of my ships do, actually, which means I have an immediate set of options to consider.
Do I do a short tour of the Bubble in the Fractured Abyss, stopping at the key engineering centers to get my vessels enhanced en masse? Or do I go on a fieldtrip for the squadron to a Guardian site? Decisions, decisions.
