Massive Nebulae Excursion, Day 8

08 Jan 2017Tervaskanto
DAY 8:

Having finished with the Crescent Nebula, I decided to set my sights on the NGC 6820 Nebula. While plotting my route, I spotted another Wolf Rayet and several neutron stars along the path, giving me several waypoints along the journey. The journey is long and for the first half there wasn't much of note, save that I have found my first ammonia world. From my research, it seems to be one of the most valuable world types out there, and the one I found was undiscovered! Aside from that, I found a few neutron stars, another Wolf-Rayet, and a black hole while scouting a path between the nebulae. After hitting the Wolf-Rayet star and two neutrons, I'm calling it a day. While a few of the other neutron stars are a bit out of the way, I bookmarked them anyway in case of future expeditions. I'm only a few hundred light years out of NGC 6820 though, so I may just take the detours to increase my bounty of scan data. Maybe with a few good systems I'll be able to buy that Anaconda I've had my eye on when I get back to Nunus. But that's a concern for another day. Right now, I'll get some rest and continue on my journey.
