8/3/3306 - Mining expedition.

Looking to add additional funds to the ole bank account in order to complete ship purchases for my fleet. That is the task of today expedition.Departing from Kennan Co-op where I completed Inoli's outfitting. Set course to LHS 6427 (B6) - ring system I'd previously surveyed. Arrived without incident. 128T of cargo space and 118 limpits on hand. After initial - uneventful - encounter with pirate (whom was quickly run off by security) I began the hunt. Primarily looking for Void Opals. After a little over an hour of mining and depleting my limpits, here are the spoils;

Did not locate any VO or LTD rich rocks or sub-surface deposits, however found LOTS of Tritium (note to self - check markets to see if next run should be for Tritium).

After checking the coretex market, set course for Alvarado Ring in the LHS 3885 system. Arrived without issue. Found that, in the time it took to get here, the price/need for VO had dropped slightly (1,385,516 CR/unit), but still a nice profit;

After offload, set course for Cremona Settlement in LHS 184 as they are in need of the LTDs. Was interdicted by pirates once in system but managed (with help from security that showed up shortly) to destroy the ASP Exp. Collected some of the wreckage prior to continuing on to CS. LTDs went for 662,847 CR/unit for a total of 10,605,552 CR.
On return to Smith Terminal (Fortuna) passed through and surveyed Losin system. Return trip was uneventful. Upon arriving, made arrangements to have modules that were left in Kennan Co-op to be shipped here.
Checked in on squad-comms for a little to see what the other were/are up to Cmdr NateNT reported heating issues with his newly acquired Asp Exp. In talking with the fairly newer pilot, we determined that it may just be due to spinning up his FSD to soon after fuel scooping - he will be more mindful of that on his next outting. Was some chatter too about system HR 12099 - may need to pass that way and see what is going on there. Also reports of good concentrations of Painite at GCRV 1568 (AB1) - will log this for future use.
