Bon Chonker & Co. "Wanderer" Shakedown Cruise Deemed Successful

Approximately ten days ago, Bon Chonker & Co debuted our new long-jump range Anaconda, Wanderer. The last Engineer finished up lightening various onboard components a few weeks ago and shipped it back, where we prepped her for about a 17,000 lightyear journey towards the core. She boasts an 84 ly range per jump, due to the addition of some Guardian technology, and the elimination of some optional comforts of home. This puts her in the mid 300s if her FSD is supercharged. Even without supercharging, she can easily outdistance the travel rate of a carrier, and is in the top 1% of jump range capabilities. The purpose of the shakedown was to test her exploring capabilities; range, ease of landing, overall handling, and a few classified operations over a wide range of planets & systems. Although some results are classified, we are happy to report that overall she is a solid ship, performing her job better than expected. Landing on high G worlds with her lightened hull and optional shields turned on is still a challenge, but we here at Bon Chonker & Co are used to such scenarios. Her main function is not necessarily to be repeatedly landing for Exobiology campaigns, but it has been proven that she is capable of doing so on most planets.
Should time allow, we may take a trip to the floor of the galaxy to test some more extreme jumping capabilities, and to gauge whether or not fitting an extra fuel tank or two would allow her to reach far flung points of interest. However, due to the massive amounts of exploration and exobiology data we have compiled, this may be put on hold. We do not want any unforeseen issues to crop up and thus lose the data should something uncontrollable occur, such as becoming stranded. This brings up another interesting point; although Bon Chonker & Company is not affiliated with the Fuel Rats, we have a complete set of equipment on our main carrier which allows Wanderer to be transformed into a fuel tug, for rescue operations. In conjunction with her massively large fuel scoop, this is yet another service Bon Chonker can offer to our clients.
Despite our excitement regarding our current success, we must remind ourselves that this is a shakedown cruise. Unforeseen issues may pop up, and we don't want to be in an isolated spot should they. Bon Chonker & Company strives to achieve the safe return of data to our clients, per our contracts.
That being said, we will soon be returning to the bubble, utilizing a neutron highway. We may make occasional stops here and there for some scanning, but in general we are expecting to be back to civilization by the end of the week. At this time, Bon Chonker & Company will resume normal Bubble operations. We appreciate your patience in this matter.
Our build engineers are currently compiling astrometric and performance data to find a sweet spot when equipping Wanderer with optional fuel tanks, with the purpose of chaining together several non-scoopable stars usually found at the fringes of the galaxy. Due to the additional weight of the fuel, initial jump ranges actually get lower, until the fuel is used. As a result, we have hired the most capable engineers to be sure we find the right balance between maximum distance from start point and running out of fuel on the way back.
o7, CMDRs, we shall see you soon
