Captain's Log - Liners and Exporation

13 Jun 2020Geradine
Well, I did it. Bought an AspX, and fitted her for Liner work. First trio of groups were... diverse. One small group was a simple taxi run. In and out, easy peasy. Other two were much larger, and paid handsomely to be carted around the bubble for a bit. Found some pretty spots, and took some pictures of my own while they ooh'd and aah'd over the sights. Was a little irritating getting the extras they wanted, as I had to both reconfigure some of my utility space into a small cargo hold, and then find the damn stuff that they wanted, but the additional funds provided more than covered the costs, and at least they took the stuff with them when they left, so I can't complain overmuch. However, my current passenger... He's a whole different story. Goes by the name Gillian Strong, supposedly a famous explorer of some kind. He wants to visit Huge Ring, some 16000ly from HIP 93377, and has given me a month to do so. Now, this is quite the undertaking. It's further out then the little nebula I was wanting to travel to in the Seeing Stars by about 8k-12k ly. He's paying a pretty penny, and the exploration data alone should be significant. I figure about 50 jumps a day, with the capabilities of the Blue Goddess. Found some discovered, but unmapped terraformables in these first 50 jumps, so this is already going well. We'll see where tomorrow takes us. This is Commander Geradine, on the thirteenth of June, 0942 Galactic Standard, signing off.
