Planetary fun

I am an up and coming combat pilot but I keep trying different loadouts for my ship, the latest is using rail guns. So I set off to find Todd blaster, the coolest engineer in the galaxy to give me an edge, he told me I needed some nickel and other stuff. Ok I went and found some random system with a high metal planet and went about gathering my stuff. Well being me nothing ever goes according to plan, just before touch down I spilt my coffee all over myself and in that momentary distraction I bounced my ship off the surface like I was a basketball and now everything ended up everywhere. After the clean up and lots of cursing I jumped in my SRV and finally took notice of my surroundings, this place is littered with craters, so I took up flying lessons in my buggy. Man that thing can drive, I was going up like 70° inclines, it was gut churning fun. But me being me crashed around and by the time I got the stuff for Todd my buggy was at 30% integrity and leaking oil. I called my ship back and of course it could only land at the bottom of a massive crater with the rockiest sides imaginable. Long story short I made it but damn, I'm either the luckiest or the most cursed commander in the galaxy. My crew though finds my ways a constant so amusing, she keeps reminding me that although I'm the commander she's a higher ranked combat fighter, I'd fire her if she wasn't right, she smokes anything Infront of her so I'd rather her at my side and not driving a knife in my back, well time to get out of Dodge and get my rails in a better place
