Tarrants Log # 18

11 Aug 2016Dell Tarrant
I have just completed my last drop in from witch space and ahead of me lies my destination.

On my approach through the system, I receive a welcome message from a fellow explorer with some helpful tips on good local mining locations.

As I make first contact with Jaques Station, its an unusual feeling to be hearing comm's chatter once again and detecting ships on my approach scanners. The lights of the station burn with a welcome that must, in some ways be similar to that experienced by ancient earth based mariners on approach to their home port after prolonged voyages at sea.

I receive landing authorisation and move into an approach vector for docking.

As I throttle back the engines and come in for a landing (all on manual I might add) I'm actually surprised at how busy the station is.

As I power down the systems, I'm already looking forward to stretching my legs and sampling some of the legendary hospitality of the station.
