Tarrants Log # 24

At last I departed from Ray Gateway bound once again for Jaques, aboard the newly re-named Anaconda 'Jethro Tull'. As I was viewing this as a new start on a new frontier, It was only fitting that the 'Witch Queen' had a makeover for this new venture. We departed in good time with a newly fitted scoop which would shorten refuelling on the voyage but would mean stopping every four or five systems to refuel. I meant to plough on toward my destination on this trip, with no exploration, as that could wait until after my arrival. I was fully fitted for mining on this trip, so as to ready when I finally reached Jaques.
Before departure I also did a quick test firing of the Tull's weapon systems.....just in case.
The voyage to Jaques was rather uneventful if i'm honest.
Apart from a couple of near misses when scooping (due mainly to my lack of concentration) and encountering a small neutron star field, the only thing of interest I came across was a system with four stars and three water worlds. (Probably because I only actually stopped to check on a handful of systems on this trip).

After approximately a weeks travel time I at last viewed the awe inspiring and very welcoming vista of the Colonia Nebula. At last my journey was nearing its conclusion.
A handful more jumps and I dropped into the Eol Prou RS-T d3-94 system. I locked onto the beacon for 80 DD-D 774-CE-2 and started my approach, treating myself to a slow flyby of the majestic station.
With docking clearance approved I guided the Jethro Tull into the dock to complete the long journey.
Once I had made my greetings once again to the ground crew, and made arrangements for refuelling and re-supply, I made enquiries as to the whereabouts of the old spacer, Tramp. I wanted to throttle the man, but also in an odd way thank him for the experience of what I can only class as makeshift wormhole transit. However, despite my greasing a few palms, the old bastard was no where to be found, for now.
So, I have now set out once again, to assist in the mining operations here, searching for Osmium which appears to be in quite plentiful supply in the rings of the closest planet. And after that, well, we shall see what the future holds, for Jaques, myself and my fellow Commanders who have made the long trip out here. Already I am aware of my fellow DRX Commanders 'Missing', 'Teddy' and 'Fallback' all being out this far. Hopefully more will follow.
