Today is the 10th October 3302. In just five days time a brave group of Deep Recon pilots will be departing on what, up to this date, will be the most long range exploratory mission of this, the tenth Deep Recon group.As deputy wing commander, I intend to keep an on going log of our travels so that, in the days, weeks and months to come, we can, as a group, look back upon the achievements of these brave few and say that they looked over the edge of the abyss, and were not afraid to take that proverbial leap of faith beyond and step into the unknown.
As I write this, I am currently docked at Kelleam Ring in the Slink's Eye system, having been taking part in the goal of cleaning up the system from the recent pirate activity taking place there. From here, I depart for Ray Gateway, to prepare my Anaconda, the Wayward Son for the upcoming expedition.
