Finally we are seeing progress.After hard fighting against the Bajauie Empire Party they finally called for a cease fire. Their losses have been grievous and if they want to maintain even a small security force to maintain what little control they have left in the system they can't endure more losses. This has given us enough leverage to force them to relinquish control of Tago's Folly which is now back in our control.
Personally I would have enjoyed ripping holes in the hulls on more of their ships and overthrown them completely while we had them on their heels. Unfortunately, despite having seized control of nearly every station and outpost in the system we are still lacking the popular support and without that we would not have true control of the system.
Seizing Tago's Folly and letting the Baja's feel the might of our fighters is a good start though. We have shown them that our iron gauntlet is not just idle threats but a force to be reckoned with. Now it is time to show that the hand wearing the iron gauntlet can also be a gentle one. As such we immediately started with cargo operations to supply the outposts with necessary supplies and equipment. Large donations have also been put in place to avoid having the entire system fall into unrest.
As the first cargo transports were coming through it was evident that the locals are supporting our cause. I've been hearing positive chatter for our cause among the crew on the landing pads, the mechanics and around the local pubs. It's a small start, however it is a positive one. If we continue in this path we'll soon see this entire system under our control and the population backing us up.
Once that is accomplished the only question that remains is... which system next?
