Finding Peace in the Black

I'm two weeks into my trek to Beagle Point. I'm taking it slow, taking in the sights as I go and doing some planetside mining to collect much needed materials as I find them. You never know when you'll need to synthesize a farther jump. And if I ever return to civilization I'm sure my ship will be in dire need of some upgrades.Initially I thought this Diamondback Explorer was hideous, but the more I see it from afar in my SRV I'm beginning to appreciate it's bee-like look.
Yesterday, while mining the dark side of a planet around sunrise I crested the edge of a massive crater and caught a glimpse of the sun coming up, slowly lighting up the desolate planet ahead of me. I think this journey is exactly what I need to refocus my thoughts and find my new goal in life.
Due to my explorations this trip will likely be much longer than intended and I'm just scratching the surface...but It's feeling like the right choice already...
