Exploring the black

15 Oct 2020Halexmorph
I haven't heard or seen another human, or even a sentient signal, in months. I've passed through countless systems with barely a glance, landed on a handful of planets...
Some would find the repetition; jump, honk, refuel repeat to become monotonous. To me it's become cathartic. Something I can rely on in a world that was so tumultuous prior to my exit. I see, now, why some people choose to explore for their entire lives. While I do fully intend to return to civilization, at least for a while, after I reach Beagle Point, I finally understand the draw to "the black."

This week I've reached the center of the galaxy. It's amazing to behold and I'm excited to see what's on the other side. My flight plan has far fewer stops from this point out so I hope to reach Beagle Point before Christmas.
