Almost home then BOOM

Well i was about 2,500 ly's from home and the ship decided to take a crap. Meaning all modules stopped working after trying to reboot the ships systems and nothing is happening. Oxygen is running out and as a last ditch effort I asked the space gods for help. They restored all of the modules to see if that would work. And as i saw the last second of oxygen when by my eyes closed and the ship was destroyed. Along with all of my weeks of exploration of systems and newly found planets while traveling back from the Jaq station.While letting go of my ship and ending up in a sidewinder i was happy to be back in my home bubble. If the space goods are good to me they will find a way to make up for loss I experienced.
Since i have been at home i have done missions to get my empire ranking up and soon need to do some engineering to catch up to my fellow space dudes. The Jaq trip took almost 2 months so there is a lot to do.
