OK, so here's the thing. I am 5100 LY towards the Core. Where to now? Onwards to the Core, turn slightly left to Colonia and Jaques, or back home?
Choices, Choices.
There are so many systems and planets here, where I am the only CMDR to have ever visited.
After the Trifid Nebula, where to? The galaxy is out there. And 'Beagle 3' is flying like an angel.
There is something quite satisfying about being the first person to put down tyre tracks on an entire planet, never visited before.
In a system no one else has ever been to.
A good place to ponder that question. You know, the one about Life, the Universe and Everything.
Even with all the wonders that lie ahead of me, I still look towards home...
That is decided then. Home.
Ooh, but there is another nebular, only a slight detour. Looks nice.
Set course for the Traikaae Nebula
Right, enough galactic tourism. Head down and jump, honk, scoop and jump again. Homewards.
Crossing the void back to the Outer Spiral Arm was easy. The stars were a bit thin in places, I was quite high up as well, but thanks to Felicity, 'Beagle 3' was taking it in her stride. I must remember to drop off a gift of Lavian Brandy next time I'm passing.
As I finally reached closer to home, those last few jumps were the worst. So near yet still so far.
And contact, a real life contact on the radar!
Trying to get behind me eh? I can see what is coming. Not born yesterday.
You can try and follow in my wake, good luck with that. I have the engineered boost speed of a Cobra. Not just a pretty Asp.
Set for maximum range, and jump. Catch me if you can.
Strange how you get in the habit of 'honking'. Still doing it all the way in, even discovered systems.
Back to Shinrarta Dezhra, welcoming lights and the usual flight control drollness.

Time to pick up 'Beagle 1', ready for the few jumps down to Maia.
Some think the Pleiades is a long way. Just a stones throw really.
