The Hodkin Chronicles Part 6: Into the Unknown

Well here we are, my 24th birthday spent with the family, knowing full well that I would probably be away for a while, a ship owner in my own right and ready to explore the world.

It’s taken a lot of work the last 6 weeks to get to this point - the datawork to get my head around, numerous hours getting back into some sort of acceptable physique with the realisation that beer kegs make brilliant weights! The refresher lessons were much needed, as my Naval service had begun just before I was due to obtain a civilian pilot’s licence.

My sisters insisted that I had a female-voiced ship’s computer in the Sidewinder, partly to keep me in check and partly to keep me company when needed. As Jenna put it, a shoulder to cry on and a foot to kick my arse as needed.
