Dav's Mountain Ascension

CMDR LOG #1 - SHIP: KRAIT MK II

This is CMDR Zephrow accompanied by CMDR RogRev, a dear friend of mine, decided to check one of the most known desolate place to scavenge for materials and that is Dav's Hope. As we descended to the attached coordinates we received from a certain contact of mine we couldn't help but to notice the massive mountain range. After we successfully scavenged the base we decided to climb the nearest peak. All went well till we reached a 80 degrees ramp. Our SRVs struggled to climb  so we tried to zig-zag it like our ancestors did it when skiing. Unfortunately my friend didn't make it and rolled several times till his SRV was rendered unoperable.

So he jumped back into his ship and started watching me as I tried my hardest to climb the steep edges..

This was only the first step, as my friend decided that it will be a great idea to use his ship in order to ferry me to the tallest peak, so I accepted despite the consequences.. and slowly we drifted towards the tallest peak.. one by one

But something really weird happened and my SRV drifted from the surface of the ship, lucky me I've managed to steer the SRV towards the mountain and rest myself on a small edge barely clinging... I was kinda scared to be honest.. my suit COVAS did warn me about my high oxygen intake.

With a little help from my friend we did start climbing again and finally we did it.. the peak was in our grasp.. he aligned with the peak and with a short booster burst I managed to jump onto the peak and to hit the hand brake... This is nuts.. space madness really got us well here. The altimeter said that we reached a height of 13.6 km from the ground level... and about 20.8 km from Dav's Hope.

So I've decided to spend the night up here... the temperatures are crazy low up here hope I make it through.. while my friend is going after some supplies. This is CMDR Zephrow signing out.
