Interim update

Basically doing Exploration and Commodities brokering to build up enough credits to get a decent vessel for an exploration trip.Currently docked somewhere in federation space looking for some elusive commodities that i can use to broker a deal with one of these Engineers. Not actually found an engineer yet, but if the over zealous authorities don't keep shooting at a sight seer then I might just make it. If they have handed me a fine why bother with attempting to kill me? All they have to do is prevent me from leaving until fine is paid!
Another gripe - when searching the station services for some missions, WHY are they nearly all KILL this person, MASSACRE this group, DESTROY this facility? Why can't they be more humane and request transport of goods, passengers or data information?
I've yet to meet an alien, or for that matter a decent pilot who wants to help. This Kill, Maim, Destroy policy seems to be very backward thinking. Especially as the whole galaxy is there to be ENJOYED.
