The story so far pt6 - goals

I was now comfortable. Had the ships I wanted, happy engineering the krait and unlocking more engineers, good income stream. But soon I'd get bored. What I needed was a goal. Something longterm to work towards. I came up with three things that I wanted to do:1) get a Corvette
2) get guardian modules
3) do the ram tah mission
So I began planning these things and the order in which I would do them.
I built my dream Corvette on coriolis.io. It cost 500mil and to feel comfortable I wanted another 500mil in the bank for rebuys. The Corvette also had guardian modules and of course I needed the federation rank. The Corvette would not be any time soon.
The guardian modules need guardian data as well as the blueprints to unlock. Rather than grinding for them, I realised that I'd get them for free by doing the ram tah mission. So that was my first goal. I rebuilt my aspx specifically for the mission and followed this excellent guide https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/ancient-guardians-mission-guide-step-by-step-111mcr-was-201mcr.358893/. This was great fun. I loved going to all these planets and zooming around in the buggy. I got all the data I needed for the modules, 111mil credits, and a load of explorer rank. But for me, the real reward are the log messages. Reading them and learning about the aliens was great. I kept them in my inbox and read them bit by bit on long supercruise trips.
once I had done this I went out again and collected the blueprints following this guide https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/walkthrough-guardian-module-blueprints.438289/.
I was now all set to go for the Corvette.
