Commander's Log: The Galaxy's Loneliest Road Trip

[Audio Log Start]Alright, alright, log number one. Guess I should’ve started these things a year ago, but… y'know, better late than never, right?
So, here I am, speaking out loud for the first time in 365 days. [mock gasp] Yeah, that’s right—it’s been a full year of “me, myself, and my hull.” Zero human contact. Not a soul in sight except for the occasional distant, flickering star, probably wondering what this lonely Krait Phantom’s doing out here. Good question, star.
Today, I blasted off from my little slice of quiet at Rendezvous Point and set my course for Oupailks BB-M c8-5. This isn’t just some random star system, mind you—it’s waypoint 21 on the legendary Distant Worlds expedition. [proudly] A historic location, a real space traveler’s rite of passage! And your boy, Alpha Panda, is ticking it off his interstellar bucket list.
Distance for today? [whistles] 5,325.99 light-years.
[Pause]
I’ll say this, though—there’s something oddly… serene about it all. The galaxy, the emptiness, the stars just going about their business. Being alone, you get to know yourself a little better. Learn what you're made of when there’s no one around to remind you. And hey, even with the whole “year alone in the black” thing, I haven’t started talking to myself… [beat] …yet.
So, that’s me for today. Alpha Panda, still heading outwards, finding waypoints, and spinning up these logs. Maybe someday, someone will actually listen to these. Or maybe I’m just talking to myself. Either way, cheers, future listener—if you’re out there. Until next time, Panda out!
