In Alpha Centauri there's a legendary station called Hutton Orbital that sells commemorative mugs and provides free Anacondas.

Until recently, many people thought the free Anacondas were a myth. The Hutton Anacondas Foundation is making that dream a reality for CMDRs aspiring to be one of the lucky recipients of a free Anaconda. All you need to do is visit Hutton Orbital to obtain The Hutton Mug and you're eligible to apply for a free Anaconda.

HOW TO APPLY

To request a free Anaconda, DM via Discord @IX#0701 or Inara CMDR IXXX and submit an application on Cerberus Syndicate Discord in #anaconda-requests with answers to these questions:
1. What is your Inara profile link with imported data synced within the last 24 hours?
2. What do you want to do with your first Anaconda?
3. What is your favorite thing about Elite?
4. Have you tried PVP and are you interested in learning?

TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY
Applicants must be new enough not to have previously purchased large ships, carriers or have more than $200M credits.

SUPPLIES LIMITED
3 Anacondas are stocked on the carrier per week until we get a donation to allow us to restock it more often. Anacondas will be awarded to the most worthy applicants according to the whims of the prize givers or their random number generators.

IF YOU ARE CHOSEN
If you receive a DM confirming that you are a winner, you'll be asked to report to the carrier at a time when a Hutton Anacondas staff member can assist you. You must bring a ship that has at least 32 tons of cargo capacity. You'll be asked to buy and sell a commodity from the carrier to gain the credits to buy the Anaconda from the carrier shipyard.
Winners will either be notified and awarded during Saturday night PVP practice or at the time of a request being received and approved if staff are available.

What can you do with an Anaconda?

The reason we give away Anacondas, besides it being funny, is that it is an ideal first flagship for a CMDR fast-tracking towards PVP readiness. HUTTON ORBITAL STATION

There was a community vote for a new rare item, and The Hutton Mug idea was submitted and won.[1] This led to a community goal to ship scrap to Hutton Orbital to start production.[2] It was a success, in spite of a player-instigated blockade.[3]
Hutton Orbital has a counterpart in Eol Procul Centauri in the Colonia Region named Hutton Moon. However, Hutton Moon is only 35.27 ls away from the arrival star.
There is a well-known joke that players can get a free Anaconda by simply visiting Hutton Orbital. This is impossible, as Hutton Orbital has no large Landing Pads or Shipyard. The joke is aimed at inexperienced players to try and get them to embark on the lengthy journey to Hutton Orbital and waste their time.
That joke is now a reality thanks to the Hutton Orbital Free Anacondas Make A Wish Upon A Star Foundation. Or is it?

THE FREE ANACONDA "MYTH"

Youtubers like Yamiks have been perpetuating the "myth" that free Anacondas at Hutton Orbital are a myth.

They don't want you to have the real free anacondas so they make a joke out of it to discourage CMDRs from earning their free Anacondas rightfully.
