Back From Guardian Space

Well, that was an adventure. Following the advice some more experienced commanders that I've come to trust--albeit with caveats--I decided to strip down The Ceti Lupo for max jump range and make the long trip out to the region of space where the Guardian ruins can be found. She's got virtually zero engineering, so I knew I was in for a trip.My first stop was to locate one of the Guardian Beacons to obtain some keys that I'd need once I set down on one of the Guardian Sites known to hold vessel blueprint fragments. Getting the keys was surprisingly easy, especially given how agile the Chieftain is. The work I had waiting for me at the ruins where the blueprints datapoint were was a different story entirely. Several dead Sentinel drones, a crap-ton of power cells, weapons parts, wreckage parts, technology parts and power conduits later, I had three blueprint fragments.
Next, it was off to a site reported to have Guardian Module blueprints. Just landing there turned out to be an hour long ordeal. The site was set high up on a plateau with no real space to land a ship the size of a Chieftain. It took every bit of patience I could muster to keep hovering slowly over a more jagged slope to finally catch a spot just big enough to fit my ship. It was still a bit of a drive/jump to get over to the site. It took me much less time to activate the pylons and gather a couple of Module blueprint fragments than it did to collect some more of the needed Guardian materials and Obelisk Pattern data.
Finally, I capped my "vacation" off by hitting a Guardian site that held Weapons blueprint fragments. Since I anticipated wanting--at some point--to be able to help others deal with the Thargoid challenges, I had decided I needed to collect quite a few weapons blueprint fragments and the required materials. This took me the longest. So many materials. So many blueprints. Days later I was finally able to head back to civilized space to trade it all in for access to the appropriate equipment.
I'm not ready to buy most of the things I now have unlocked. Except and FSD booster, naturally. But knowing I can now buy them as needed is really pretty satisfying.
So, here I sit, in my stateroom on my ship in a hangar...contemplating what I should do next. Well, log-lurkers, you'll have to check back later. I think I need to hit the bar for now.
