The First Leg

You know it’s bad when you bring your ship in for repairs and the mechanics give me a mixed look of horror and confusion as they wonder how the heck I was able to damage so many components. Every time I explained what happened they always asked, “And that’s all?” Yes, I found the gravity well of a few too many T class stars. That’s it! Apparently, everything that was out of whack didn’t makes sense to them. That’s all that happened. I swear! That all being said, my stay at the outpost near Sadr was longer than I initially planned. I had plenty of time to trade and mosey about the station. It felt kind homey as it was a small outpost. It had that cozy small town feel to it. Honestly, it was refreshing. It was a nice change in pace form the busy bustling stations back in the bubble. Of course, I had to stop by the bar at least once. I had the downtime, and might as well celebrate my promotion to Ranger.
Several hangovers and uh, restful, nights later my Dissent was ready to go. I was able to putz around the Pelican and North America Nebulae. I was able to get some awesome pictures! That’s about it though. Sadly, discovery wise it was pretty mundane. A lot of people have been out here before. Which I expected, honestly. This is more like a personal tourism trip rather than true exploration.
Next I'm off to the Blinking Nebula, bringing my first leg of my trip to a close. It's a bit out of the way, so hopefully it's worth it. Maybe I'll get some awesome pictures while I'm there. Who knows?! Cheers!
