These days will change everything forever

In the beginning I thought, that this would only be a job.After my long journey back home, I finally arrived in Onoros two days ago. The stations are full of volunteers - thargoid hunter squads, mercenarys but also a lot of ordinary people who stepped out of their regular paths and joined forced with the rest. Also some members of military and police can be seen here, they arrive slowly but heavily armed from their outposts all over the galaxy. At places where are many people, there are also a lot of rumors. What will be next? Is this the prelude to some heavier invasion? Is this only a short period of time where there is more presence, or is it going downhill. Also those rumors of motherships seem to be coming back again. No one - who is still alive - has seen them, but there were a some disturbing logbook entrys which appeared some years ago. Let's hope, that this rumor doesn't manifest in our reality.
In the last few days I have been constantly out on patrol. As I talked to others, I try to avoid those interceptors yet. They would be too strong, altough my combat training I took a few years ago came in handy. So I'm mostly out hunting those scouts. It's disturbing at most of the sites where my scanner detected them I also arrive at large debris fields. I really hope that the owner of the vessels made it back to the next station safely in their escape pods. But almost everytime I was able to make sure, that those scouts cannot hurt anymore traders or explorers in the future. To be a trader nowadays is dangerous. At some sites they were still alive when I arrived but stopped by some pirate (who took off faster than I could see) - which called also scouts in. At least I could save some souls and hopefully some more, which did not get in harms way with those vessels. I took over 100 of those things out and hopefully there will be more in the next few days...
Back in the days where I started studying the history of the last 20th and early 21st century, I also stumbled upon some footage of a - rumored over centuries - black site called "Area 51" around Roswell on earth (in a region, which was a country named USA). There had been constant rumors about a alien ship, which was found and over the years there surfaced a lot of footage of so called UFOs, which look quite the same like those scouts do. Did they already visit our homeworld past then? Or is that just a strange coincidence? If it's true or not, it could be possible so this is one more reason why I'm here. No one knows which distances they can travel using their wormholes.
Their presence now in Onoros disturbes me and what the future will bring is unclear right now. Let's hope that we can repel this attack and that this won't go any further. As I can see in many faces here, this is the wish of most of the volunteers who gathered here together. But what is sure, is that we will be changed when we leave here. I don't say I will have nightmares, but should I encounter any other species on my travels and science trips, I hope that this encounter does not go the way like it did with thargoids.
