I am writing these words while enjoying an amazing view, waiting for Nindjaku, an Alchemy Den member, to join me.we both tried the ascension of the Mount Neverest again, with more success this time. It was tough, but apparently taking time to scout for a route and climbing in daylight makes it easier... Who would have guessed really ? /s
This time, we tried from the western side of the mountain. There is a few more passes, and a canyon to jump over, but at least it's not a plain wall like last time when we tried from north. There is one great difficulty though: A crest we have to jump over, because it is too steep to climb. It's not high enough to stop us though, and while it need accuracy to get right above it, it is feasible. Good thing is it's the last real difficulty to face until the top, and marks the start of the last section of the ascension, which is actually the funniest.
My friend was having a bit harder time than me climbing, so I took my vintage ZenPod and put a song from early 21th century titled "Try", from an artist I love called P!nk (pronounced pink, simply enough). It's supposed to be a song about being disappointed by men, I thought the chorus going "try, try, try" was appropriate.
Eventually they made it, and we did the most exciting part of any mountain climb: the base jump to go back down, and I managed to land properly ! I'm getting better at driving an SRV.
I might try again the ascension, maybe speedrunning it...
