Hello Commanders!First of all, I want to thank you all for the help I got regarding the Cobra MkIII ship, and thank you CMDR Flash Gordon685 in particular, who not only helped me with the excavation of the data, but also with getting past all the safety meassures.
Second, in return for your help, I will publish my findings here. Let me explain what's going on exactly.
My father was a really good pilot. In fact, he was spending more time in deep space rather than with me.. Yeah, sucks to be me I guess..
He left me and my mother in 3286 when I was 15. He never said where he was going. In 3288, his very own ship appeared at our home station out of nowhere. My mother discovered it in my father's hangar one day. He left a piece of paper in the cockpit with the a message "For Patrick" written on it. One day when I finally find my father I have to thank him for the vessel because it's really pimped out to max. His Cobra MkIII was my starter ship too.
Finally I became a pilot in 3302 when I got my pilot license. My main goal is to find my father. It took me a while to mobilize myself to do this, but finally 2 weeks ago I asked you how to get to the hidden files on the on-board hard drive.
I was first contacted by CMDR Flash Gordon685 who told me how to get inside. His method did work, but then a new problem arose. As it turns out, the hard drive is protected against unwanted guests by an user scan. This means that only one person can get inside - my father.
After writing to Flash Gordon about the problem I encountered, he told me about a workaround the security. Basically, to skip the pilot scan, you have to switch to manual identification. Then you must enter a password to gain access. Flash Gordon warned me about it and even sent me a special program that would break the lock.
Everything worked as it should .. Almost .. With the help of CMDR Flash Gordon I found the hidden files and broke the system lock. The only problem is that my father wanted maximum security and used several different passwords. They change every time you log in. It's not that bad, basically every time I want to enter the files, I will have to wait for the Flash Gordon's program to finally crack the new password. Flash Gordon explained to me that it can take up to a few days.
The on-board disk gave me access to only one of my father's entries. I was logged out immediately after it shared the file with me. According to what I wrote at the beginning, here is the transcription of this log:

August 23 Year 3272
Ship designation: Cobra MkIII Class Vessel - ID:"OR-10N"
Galactic coordinates: -76.71875 / -147.34375 / -344.4375
System name: Atlas
I can't wait to go back. I will be back to my family on September 3rd, on my son's first birthday. I will see my Patrick for the first time.. I still regret going on this expedition, back in February 3271. I knew I should stay this time, but the others talked me into this trip. I'm glad they understood and didn't get mad at me for returning to The Bubble so early. Family is more important than any research.
The expedition will probably end just like the previous one. They've only got 4 months left before their return. I hope I'm wrong though and that the team will finally find something worth while. If not, then at least I won't miss out on the great discovery that we will certainly make sooner or later. Hopefully..
